Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts is seeking a motivated Utility Climber to join our Columbia, SC team. The ideal candidate has 6–12 months of tree care experience with utility line clearance and significant climbing experience.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in the Tree Industry.
• Must have previous climbing and utility line clearance experience.
• Must be able to work 45 hours a week.
• Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
• Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
• Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position.
• Must be willing to work at varying heights up to 75 feet.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and be safety orientated.
• Must be willing and able to learn how to run a bucket truck & operate equipment safely.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license within the first 6 months of employment(this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).
• Must be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required by the position to grow your career(this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).
• Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Tree climbing, manual removal of vegetation from work areas, safely operating various forestry equipment (woodchipper, giraffe, hydraulic equipment, bucket truck, chainsaws) performing line clearance, pruning, and removals.
