A leading utility engineering firm in Huntington Beach is looking for an Associate to prepare CAD models and engineering plan sets for utility projects. The role involves working closely with project managers, revising plans based on feedback, and following agency CAD standards. Ideal candidates will have technical school training or equivalent experience in computer-aided drafting, particularly with MicroStation and Open Roads Designer. Qualifications
Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience.
2–5 years’ experience with MicroStation and/or Open Roads Designer preferred but not necessary.
DOT/Agency and/or Transportation Engineering experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Prepare computer-generated existing utility CAD models and engineering plan sets.
Create plan sheets with match lines connecting the entire project.
Revise utility CAD models based on the Project Manager's instructions.
