Job summary

RK&K in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Designer to support utility design, relocations, and project coordination using AutoCAD and MicroStation. You will provide technical support to the engineering team, prepare contract drawings and color renderings, and ensure compliance with CADD standards.

The role requires reading and interpreting construction drawings, reviewing field data, and assisting with permits, drawing preparation, and QA/QC. Collaborative teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to perform field site visits.
• Experience with CADD standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically accurate CAD drawings from sketches.
• Identify utilities and review field data for plats and relocations.
• Support permit packages and organize CADD files.
• Use CAD software to meet engineering specifications.
• Assist engineers with redlines and sketches across disciplines.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Conduct field reconnaissance and QA/QC reviews.
• Communicate project requirements and timelines clearly.
