Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in construction, engineering, computers, or drafting) or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of MicroStation / ORD drafting experience in utility engineering, utility mapping, utility coordination, or related fields.
• Proficiency in MicroStation / ORD drafting software.
• Understanding of utility engineering principles.
• Familiarity with survey data, geospatial information, and field-collected utility data.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process utility design files from each utility involved with a project, maintain company standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDOT styles.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet client-specific requirements and project deadlines.
• Assist with quality control of client deliverables to ensure accuracy and SAM standards.
• Monitor and oversee multiple utility coordination projects, performing quality assurance.
• Conduct initial quality checks on Utility Design / Concepts to ensure proper clearance for work.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support SAM's strategic goals.
