Job summary

Pennoni is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Columbia, MD team as a Utility Designer on a full-time basis. You will contribute to major utility projects by performing design and drafting work, obtaining field data, and producing accurate construction blueprints.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in design/drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a willingness to work in varied environments. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional experience in design/drafting.
• Willing to perform fieldwork and travel as needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform design / CAD drafting work to support Engineering projects.
• Assist with obtaining relevant field data & measurements.
• Create / adjust workable construction blueprints using data.
• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
• Perform field work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Assist with additional duties as required.
