Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced drafter/detailer to support utility projects. You will produce high-quality 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation, collaborating with design engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, fast-paced delivery, and ability to adapt to evolving standards while supporting both in-office and remote CAD workloads.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 1+ years of drafting/detailing experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to create/modify drawings from engineer markups with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with file sharing and collaboration tools (ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team environment.
• Highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced engineering setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting and detailing using AutoCAD and MicroStation for utility projects.
• Produce 2D and/or 3D drawings to support the distribution team.
• Create plan and profile drawings for overhead and underground projects.
• Help develop and maintain drafting standards and processes.
• Support remote office CAD workload, coordinating with CAD leads across offices.
