Job summary

Pennoni in Columbia, MD is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join as a full-time Utility Designer. You’ll perform design and drafting for utility projects, support major clients such as BGE and Verizon, and contribute to field data collection and construction blueprints.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and 3+ years of CAD drafting, with AutoCAD proficiency and Bentley MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional CAD drafting/design experience.
• Experience with dry utility projects preferred (e.g., electrical power distribution).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Bentley MicroStation a plus (training available).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and CAD drafting work for Engineering projects.
• Assist with obtaining field data and measurements.
• Create/adjust construction blueprints using relevant data.
• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are met.
• Occasionally perform field work; may require indoor and outdoor work.
