Job summary

Pennoni is hiring a CAD Technician to join the Milton, DE team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on site/civil projects, performing drafting from survey data and preparing land development drawings.

You will support field observations, assist surveyors, and ensure productivity objectives are met. A valid driver's license may be required for occasional field work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Civil Design/Drafting experience.
• Proficiency with surveying field data and CAD drafting preferable.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Job description

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a CAD Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Milton, DE. This person will be expected to contribute primarily to our Site/Civil projects by performing critical drafting functions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform CAD Drafting while utilizing survey field data.


• Prepare Land Development drawings (including grading, utility, and SWM / E&S plans).


• Prepare various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.


• Provide office support; this includes performing area, slope, and volume computations.


• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.


• Perform field work on an as-needed basis; this includes observing construction and assisting Surveyors.


• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).


• 2+ years of professional experience working in Civil Design and/or Civil Drafting.

This person may be expected to work in the field, as-needed, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!


• Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred!


• Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.


• Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.


• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.


• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.


• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!
