Brevard County's Utility Services Department is seeking a Permanent full-time paraprofessional in the North Area/Mims Utility Billing Office to manage customer accounts and billing operations. You will create and verify accounts, collect and record payments, and address customer inquiries with accuracy.
The role requires an Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, with the possibility of substituting education with a certificate and relevant experience.

$22.94 to $25.23 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Mims/Mims Utility Billing Office. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced paraprofessional work creating, verifying, and maintaining customer account records; collecting, depositing, and recording fees for services; and resolving customer service issues.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; OR completion of a one (1) year certificate program in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or manmade disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
