SSP America is hiring a Utility Worker to keep restaurant areas clean and safe at the Miami International Airport. The role involves sanitation, dishwashing, food item handling, and assisting guests with requests within busy dining facilities across SSP’s airport brands.

Applicants should be at least 18, with prior retail or food service experience preferred. Basic English skills are required, with potential for growth and advancement within SSP America.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in retail or food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and receive instructions.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving guest service.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Responsabilités

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas).
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, wash by hand or use dishwasher and return to storage.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include heavy equipment.
• Assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server or supervisor.
• Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storeroom and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Utility positions at SSP have the very important role of keeping our restaurants and units clean and sanitized for both our guests and our team

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Utility Worker

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (i.e., floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas, etc.)
• Removes refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment
