Job summary

SSP America in Atlanta is hiring a Utility/Dishwasher Worker to keep our airport restaurants clean and sanitized. You will clean surfaces, wash dishes, stock supplies, and assist guests as needed, ensuring a safe and welcoming dining environment.

This role requires you to be at least 18, have 6 months of food service experience, and read/speak English. A high school diploma is preferred. You will stand for long periods and handle cleaning chemicals as part of a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months' experience working in retail or food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests and receive instructions.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Keep restaurants and units clean and sanitized.
• Clean and maintain hygienic work areas; clean surfaces and equipment.
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Wash dishes by hand or in the dishwasher; return them to storage.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Assist guests with requests and communicate needs to servers or supervisors.
• Load/unload supply trucks between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of food items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Utility/Dishwasher positions at SSP have the very important role of keeping our restaurants and units clean and sanitized for both our guests and our team

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Utility/Dishwasher Worker

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (i.e., floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas, etc.)
• Removes refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment
• Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server/supervisor
• Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items
• Other duties as assigned.
