Job summary

International Paper is seeking candidates for a Utility Rate II role at its Newport Mill in Tennessee. The position requires general labor across the mill, safe handling of materials, and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Candidates should be willing to operate forklifts and trucks, maintain safety, and work in warm/cold environments with proper PPE. IP offers comprehensive benefits including health and life insurance, retirement plans and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities

• General Labor throughout the mill
• Safely handle miscellaneous materials in various environment
• Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts
• Team player must be able to maintain safe, quality, housekeeping and productivity
• Must be able to work in all types of environments (hot & cold)
• Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks, fork lifts, skid steers & spotter trucks
• Must have an intermediate level of computer skills
• Must successfully complete 2-2 ½ weeks on-boarding program

Qualifications

In addition, qualified candidates must be willing to meet the following requirements: Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment; Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment; Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule; Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification as needed; Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis; Wear required safety equipment; Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate for a Utility Rate II is $27.41
