Job summary

International Paper in Lexington, SC is seeking a Shipper Loader to operate a sit-down propane forklift and an RF scanner to move goods through the warehouse. This is a full-time, evening shift (3pm-11pm) with potential for growth.

You will unload units from production, load trailers, and maintain accurate tallies. A $500 sign-on bonus after 30 days and another $500 after 6 months is offered, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must follow all safety rules and practices.
• Certified forklift driver.
• Basic shop math.
• Able to accurately read and record figures.
• Team-oriented work style.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Two years sit-down propane forklift experience with RF Scanner.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down propane forklift.
• Use RF scanner to track inventory.
• Unload from production line and store in warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers as required.
• Compute and record totals of tallied figures on forms.
• Examine and sort items tallied.
• Record defects and quantities for quality control.
• Move tallied items to storage, shipping or production areas.
• Perform daily housekeeping to meet AIB standards.
• Conduct daily forklift safety checks.

The Job You Will Perform

• Must be a qualified sit down (propane) forklift driver.
• Ability to use an RF Scanner
• Unload units from production line and store in designated place in warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers as required.
• Computes and records totals of tallied figures on proper forms.
• Examines and sorts items tallied.
• Records number and type of defects for quality control purposes.
• Counts units, kits, etc. and computes total number of same. Issues receipts.
• Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas.
• Performs daily housekeeping task to ensure AIB standards are being met.
• Performs daily safety checks on forklifts.
• Other duties may be assigned .
