Job summary

MTM Transit in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Utility to wash, fuel and service fleet vehicles and perform daily facility maintenance. You may work in various weather elements outdoors and support fleet operations.

Key duties include preparing daily fleet reports, assisting in maintenance, and maintaining a high level of reliability. The role offers health, dental and vision plans, 401(k) matching, PTO, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid U.S. driver's license for past 5 years.
• Valid California Class B driver's license.
• Pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background and MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, fuel and service vehicles.

What will your job look like?

The Utility will be responsible for washing, fueling and minor servicing of fleet vehicles, perform facility maintenance and repairs as needed, assist in fleet maintenance daily operations and able to work in various weather elements outdoors.

Location: Bakersfield, CA

What You'll Do (Essential Functions)

• Wash, Fuel and Service vehicles
• Cleans buildings and grounds as directed
• Perform daily Facility maintenance and repairs
• Assists in daily Fleet Maintenance operations as directed
• Prepare daily Utility Fleet Reports

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have valid U.S. Driver's license for past 5 years
• Must have and maintain a valid California Class B driver's license
• No felony convictions involving moral turpitude or narcotics within previous five (5) years
• No Reckless Driving or driving with a suspended license within the past 7 years and no more than 2 in a lifetime
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check and investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check
