What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate utility accounts for new and existing affordable housing properties, ensuring efficient service activations and billings
- Monitor service interruptions and collaborate with vendors and property management teams for timely resolutions
- Investigate billing anomalies and consumption spikes to identify potential savings
- Maintain centralized databases for tracking utility usage and costs
- Prepare utility-related reports for audits and compliance with regulatory bodies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of utility management or billing experience within affordable housing or property management
- Strong understanding of utility billing practices and energy conservation strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and data management skills
- Must reside in one of the specified states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with HUD, LIHTC, or similar affordable housing compliance programs
- Familiarity with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager or other benchmarking tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
