Job summary

City of Bellevue, Washington seeks a Utilities Review Professional to join the Development Review section of the Utilities Department. You will review residential and commercial projects for water, sewer, and storm drainage codes while delivering exceptional customer service to owners, occupants, contractors, and the public.

The hybrid, full-time role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, coordination with multiple departments, and experience in plan review and development processes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering or related field.
• Four or more years of professional related experience in engineering or plan review, land use policy and development process.

Responsibilities

• Manage Utility Extension projects with complex engineering review and design alternatives for the developer.
• Serve as utility project manager for reviewing engineering, land use, and development applications; manage multi-project workload for timely reviews.
• Analyze technical requirements and legal documentation for development proposals for water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
