Job summary

The City of Bothell is seeking a Development Review Supervisor to lead a talented team, guide complex development projects, and provide technical expertise in civil engineering and development review.

The successful candidate will foster collaboration across Engineering, Planning, and Building departments, improve development services processes, and ensure projects meet standards and schedules while serving the community’s needs.

Qualifications

• Supervise and develop assigned staff.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in utilities, civil engineering, and project management.
• Build collaborative relationships and promote effective communication among city departments and the community.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of development services programs and processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop assigned staff by delegating tasks and projects, prioritizing workloads, coordinating training, monitoring performance and results, reviewing work products for quality, and implementing organizational changes.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in utilities, civil engineering, and project management, supporting staff through permitting and development.
• Build collaborative relationships and promote effective communication among Development Services, including community development, building, and other departments, as well as with contractors and developers.
• Lead development and improvement of design standards, code provisions, forms, and fee structures to enhance service delivery.
