Seattle Public Utilities in Seattle seeks a Civil Engineering Specialist Supervisor to lead the Development Services Office's Side Sewer Review and Permitting Team. You will supervise a team of six engineering specialists and ensure timely, accurate side sewer permit reviews and issuance.

• Education and/or experience equivalent to civil engineering supervisory role.
• Experience with side sewer permits and city code requirements is preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise side sewer team activities and ensure timely, accurate issuance of side sewer permits with quality control.
• Review civil engineering site plans for sanitary and drainage side sewers for code conformance.
• Review SDCI Preliminary Assessment Reports to determine points of discharge and required extensions.
• Coordinate with SPU divisions and city departments; discuss projects with the public and agencies.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for team and individual performance.
