Job summary

The City of Bellevue is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join the Transportation Development Review team. You will review development proposals for traffic impacts, analyze civil design plans, and help shape transportation standards.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering or a closely related field. PE license may substitute for the degree.
Two years of engineering experience, or equivalent education and training.

Responsibilities

Reviews engineering plans for compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
Reviews traffic analysis prepared by consultants.
Prepares letters, memos, and reports addressing site design and traffic impact issues; provides recommendations for developer conditions.
Conducts engineering analysis to identify areas of concern.
Represents the Transportation Department at the Permit Center and in public forums.
Attends evening meetings and public hearings to present information or recommendations related to development applications.
