Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, seeks a Project Manager to oversee technical and financial aspects of diverse projects, manage client relationships, and market Pickett’s services to existing and new clients.

You will coordinate with Engineering Leads, track scope, schedule, and budget, prepare reports, and develop bid responses. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, 5–10 years’ experience, and PE or PMP certification are preferred. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 5–10 years of related experience (required).
• PE license or PMP certification (required).
• Experience with utilities or engineering consulting is desirable.
• Experience in transmission line design (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities.
• Oversee project performance including scope, schedule, budget, and safety.
• Develop client relationships and market Pickett’s services.
• Coordinate with Engineering Leads and Managers to track deliverables.
• Create financial controls reports with Accounting and Project Controls.
• Interface with client and internal management to report progress, costs, schedule and risks.
• Prepare bid documents and cost estimates; support marketing with proposals.
• Write comprehensive and technical project reports.
• Coordinate monthly client invoicing and accounts receivable.
• Perform other duties as needed.
