Job summary

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is with NC Dept of Commerce - Utilities, located at 430 N Salisbury Street, Raleigh NC, Wake County 27603.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $23.17 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Details Of The Position

The ideal candidate selected for this temporary role will serve as administrative support for the NC Dept of Commerce - Utilities, by providing great customer service to internal and external parties and all who interact with the Chief Clerk's office. Key duties include, expediting orders, reserving dockets, and filings submitted through the electronic portal and USPS mail while minimizing public-facing errors to the greatest extent possible.

This position will also ensure quality processing of consumer filings for:

  • Reports of Proposed Construction (ROPCs) for roof-top solar installations
  • Water Reseller Pass-Through Rate Increase Applications
  • Public Staff Memorandums
  • Commission Orders

Note: This temporary position qualifies for teleworking on a part-time basis as part of the Department of Commerce Teleworking Program. Any teleworking will be under the conditions of the Commerce Teleworking Program Policy, and the employer may end any teleworking arrangement at any time at the employer's sole discretion.
