Job summary

City of Tallmadge is seeking an Assistant Utilities Superintendent to help lead the Utilities Department. This role bridges high-level administrative planning with on-the-ground field operations.

You will serve as the right hand to the Utility Superintendent, providing direct backup and helping to drive major community infrastructure improvements, including waterline replacement and sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects.

Qualifications

• A track record of supervising field crews and managing regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating large capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Familiarity with Ohio EPA/OPERS benefits and public sector procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations and oversee crews and work orders.
• Ensure public health and safety by complying with Ohio EPA rules and engineering standards.
• Assist with budgeting, policy development, and long-range department planning.
