Job summary

JLL in Gurabo, Puerto Rico seeks a Junior Utilities Operations Supervisor to oversee daily field work, maintenance and staff for utilities systems. You will direct crews, inspect sites, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; an associate or technical degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in pharma works, facility maintenance, or utility operations.
• Valid driver’s license and relevant entry-level state water/wastewater or trade certifications.
• Basic computer literacy, leadership potential, and problem-solving skills for handling equipment failures
• Intermediate English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Direct daily crew assignments, schedule repair work orders, and inspect active job sites.
• Staff Supervision: Train new technicians, track performance, and coordinate shift or work schedules.
• System Maintenance: Monitor the safety and efficiency of utility networks like water distribution or sewage collection.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce local, state, and federal safety rules (such as EPA, OSHA, FDA, CFR, GxP standards).
• Administrative Support: Help prepare basic operational reports, track material inventory, and assist with departmental budgets.
