Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks an experienced Utilities Operations Lead to supervise plant utilities activities across client sites in Puerto Rico and the United States. The role ensures safe, compliant operation of steam, water, chilled water, and compressed air systems while coordinating with project teams to meet timelines.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Science or Engineering, with 5+ years in regulated utilities and 3+ years of leadership, plus strong CMMS, work management, and OSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline; MBA, MS or ME preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in plant utilities operations within regulated industries with cGMP knowledge.
• At least three (3) years of experience leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software.
• Strong knowledge of work management processes and OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and coordination of assigned utilities operators, installers, and mechanics to guarantee reliable service during operation of steam, water, chilled water, and compressed air systems.
• Monitor work areas to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
• Counsel employees and assist in correcting job-skill deficiencies; review performance.
• Requisition materials, interpret specifications, and develop layouts.
• Provide technical support to ensure operations comply with policies, timelines, and cost controls.
• Develop customer relations and promote MTG at all levels to drive opportunities.
