Job summary

Ahlstrom's Mosinee, Wisconsin plant is seeking a Utilities Engineer Co-Op for the 2027 Spring (January–August) or Fall Semester (June–December). You will support utility operations, collect and analyze data, and assist with inspections and project coordination to ensure reliable, efficient utility services.

Pay rate is $27.00 per hour. Applicants must be enrolled in an engineering degree program and prepared to relocate to Mosinee for the 2027 terms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects
• Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups
• Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions
• Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability

• Provide technical support for key departments
• Provide problem solving and analytical skills
• Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
• Assist and/or lead safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, compliance, and housekeeping projects
• Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Enrolled in an Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Controls/Automation or similar Engineering degree program
• Living in or willing to relocate to the Mosinee, Wisconsin area from January - August or June - December 2027
