Job summary

Ahlstrom's Mosinee, Wisconsin plant is seeking a Reliability Engineer Co-Op for the 2027 Spring (January–August) or Fall Semester (June–December). You will support the Maintenance Team to meet safety, quality, and production goals on a paper machine process line.

The role offers hands-on learning in a team-driven environment with opportunities to develop reliability and process-improvement skills while working in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Enrolled in a Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar Engineering degree program.
• Willing to relocate to the Mosinee, Wisconsin area for 2027 Spring or Fall semesters.
• Strong technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects.
• Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups.
• Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions.
• Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability.
• Provide technical support for key departments.
• Provide problem solving and analytical skills.
• Follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
• Assist and/or lead safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, compliance, and housekeeping projects.
• Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:
