Job summary

Ahlstrom, Mosinee, Wisconsin, seeks a Quality Co-Op for the 2027 Spring Semester (January – August) to assist the Quality & Finishing Team in achieving safety, quality, production, cost, and product development objectives of a paper machine process line. The position pays $27.00 per hour and targets students currently pursuing Paper Science or Chemical Engineering degrees.

Ideal candidates will be authorized to work in the United States full-time, willing to relocate to Mosinee for the duration,

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Paper Science or Chemical Engineering degree.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States full-time.
• Living in or willing to relocate to Mosinee, WI for Jan-Aug 2027.
• Able to work full-time for the duration of the co-op.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Must follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects by conducting trials including development of trial plans and authoring trial reports
• Support machine manager in leading a paper machine process line, including daily and long-term activities

Pay Rate

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Actively pursuing a Paper Science or Chemical Engineering degree program
• Living in or willing to relocate to the Mosinee, Wisconsin area from January – August 2027
• Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position
• Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Strong technical aptitude and proven problem-solving abilities
