Job summary

MMG seeks a Utilities and Maintenance Manager to lead facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance across a 500-acre destination campus with 125+ buildings, including lodging, dining, wellness, events, horticulture and recreation.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, budgets, vendor relations, and capital projects, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation in a dynamic start-up environment with growing facilities.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional departments to promote operational excellence and guest experiences.

Job description

The Utilities and Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership for all facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance operations across a 500-acre destination campus with more than 125 existing and planned buildings, including lodging, wellness, dining, event, horticultural, and recreational facilities.

This role oversees preventative and corrective maintenance programs, wastewater treatment, geothermal and solar utility systems, building infrastructure, and an electric vehicle fleet while managing departmental budgets, contractor and vendor relationships, and capital project coordination. Responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a multidisciplinary maintenance team, the Director ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all campus assets in a dynamic start-up environment where new facilities are continuously coming online.

The position requires expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general construction systems, along with strong troubleshooting, project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional departments, the Director promotes operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, sustainable maintenance practices, and a collaborative, service-oriented culture while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
