Job summary

Opti Staffing Group in Tigard, OR seeks a Dimensional Checker with UT Level II credentials or related QC experience to join our steel fabrication team on swing shift.

You will perform in-process and final weld inspections, verify AWS/D1.5 compliance, maintain records, and support production with quality assurance. This role requires attention to detail, ability to read drawings, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• UT Level II certification required per ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• Minimum 3 years of AWS D1.5 Bridge or Structural inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.5, D1.1, D1.8, AISC, ASTM, and DOT specs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and visual inspections of weldments per AWS codes.
• Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT Level II); Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is a plus.
• Verify components meet tolerances and project specifications.
• Maintain inspection records and NCRs; support quality audits.
