Job summary

CSUN’s The Soraya Center is seeking Customer Service Workers-Ushers/Powered Cart Operators to create a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for artists, guests, and audiences. You’ll support performances across campus venues, assist patrons, operate powered carts, uphold venue protocols, and contribute to a polished, fast-paced performing arts environment.

This temporary on-call role requires evenings and weekends; a valid California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to assist patrons and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Scan or tear tickets and help patrons find seats.
• Monitor security cameras and manage entry for artists/crew.
• Set up and clean hospitality, dining, and kitchen areas.
• Maintain powered carts and report issues for operation.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Evenings and weekends availability; on-call shifts may occur.
