Description of Work

If you are looking for a meaningful career working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that impacts lives, please consider the User Support Analyst position at the Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFK ADATC) in Black Mountain.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technology support for the staff across all disciplines of the Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center. The position will be responsible for assisting computer users with managing IDs and passwords and mastering software and applications that are made available via the LAN. This position will also:

  • Assist with the proper configuration and repair of desktop computer systems, printers, and other end user devices connected to the JFK Local Area Network.
  • Provide training as needed to introduce staff to new technology.
  • Assist the facility and staff in complying with the HIPAA Security policies and Security Standards.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution plus one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or
  • Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or
  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in the field of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities / Competencies
  • Demonstrates a customer orientation and effectively communicates verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks, develops own work, schedules and monitors progress against defined parameters.
  • Ability to manage technical projects involving own work and may lead implementation efforts to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge and skills from a range of technologies to address work assignments.
  • Ability to mentor or train peers and others.
