Job summary

Hiredbuddy is seeking an entry-level User Experience Designer to join our product team. You will work with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to craft intuitive experiences for web and mobile apps.

You will own design tasks from research to implementation, mentored with clear growth paths. This is a remote position aligned with Eastern Time, with occasional travel to our New York office for team events and workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design or related field
• 0-2 years UX design experience (internships/projects count)
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design process and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work remotely with distributed team

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs and developers to understand user needs and business goals
• Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks in Figma
• Conduct user research and synthesize insights into actionable design decisions
• Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback
• Maintain and contribute to the design system and accessibility standards
• Document design decisions for future reference
• Stay updated on industry trends and tools

Role

The Role We are looking for an entry-level User Experience Designer to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will work alongside senior designers, product managers, and engineers to craft intuitive and delightful experiences for our web and mobile applications. You will have the opportunity to own design tasks from research to implementation, learning best practices and contributing to a product that impacts thousands of users daily. As an early-career designer, you will be supported by a structured mentorship program and clear growth paths. You will participate in design critiques, collaborate on cross-functional projects, and gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle. This is a remote position, but you will be expected to align with Eastern Time Zone working hours and occasionally travel to our New York office for team events and workshops.

• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma
• Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) and synthesize findings into actionable insights

• 0-2 years of experience in UX or product design (internships and academic projects count)
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Basic understanding of user research methods and usability testing
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
• A growth mindset and eagerness to learn from feedback
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end development concepts is a plus
• Experience with design systems or accessibility considerations is a bonus
