The Cigna Group is seeking a Senior Content Designer to help reimagine content for AI-enabled member experiences within Pharmacy Benefit Services and pharmacy-focused digital products. You will combine content strategy, systems thinking, and AI practices to build scalable content solutions that clarify benefits and improve member understanding.

You’ll partner with product designers, governance teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure accessible, compliant, and high-quality experiences

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content design or UX writing for mobile and web apps

Job description

We’re reimagining the product development life cycle and the role content design plays as an extension of content systems. As a Senior Content Designer, you’ll help shape the future of AI-enabled member experiences across Pharmacy Benefit Services (PBS) and pharmacy-focused digital products.

This role combines content strategy, systems thinking, and emerging AI practices to create personalized, scalable solutions that help members understand and manage their pharmacy benefits. You’ll get hands‑on experience building content systems, skills, and capabilities that bring content design into an AI-enabled future.

What you'll do
  • Partner closely with product designers to shape pharmacy and benefits workflows from concept through delivery
  • Own content strategy for digital pharmacy experiences and partner with engagement strategists to connect messaging across the member journey
  • Simplify complex pharmacy and healthcare concepts into plain language, ensuring experiences meet accessibility, health literacy, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams from concept through launch, using customer insights and research to shape and improve experiences
Contribute to scalable content systems and solutions
  • Apply content standards, design system guidance, and messaging frameworks to create consistent experiences across products and channels
  • Contribute to content governance, reusable patterns, and content components that scale across pharmacy and healthcare experiences
  • Partner with our team to define content structures, taxonomies, and metadata strategies that enable reuse, personalization, and scalability
  • Help evolve content systems for AI-powered and conversational experiences while maintaining clarity, accuracy, compliance, and user trust
Shape the future of AI-enabled experiences
  • Help define content patterns, conversational experiences, prompts, and guidance for AI-powered member experiences
  • Use AI tools to accelerate content creation, research synthesis, and repeatable workflows while maintaining quality standards
  • Evaluate and experiment with emerging AI capabilities, sharing learnings and recommendations with the broader design team
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content creation through AI-enabled workflows across pharmacy experiences
  • 5+ years of experience in content design or UX writing for mobile and web apps
  • Has a well-documented portfolio that shows how they approach content strategy, solve complex problems, and improve digital experiences through content design
  • Systems thinker who demonstrates curiosity and adaptability as content technologies and digital experiences evolve
  • Experience with AI tools, like Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms
  • Someone who's excited about shaping AI-powered member experiences and applying content design principles to emerging technologies
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and balancing multiple initiatives
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, or regulated industry experience preferred
