Walsworth is seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive user experiences and maintaining a scalable design system. The designer will engage in a multi-step process, including wireframes, user flows, final designs, prototypes, and specification documents. This role combines hands-on product design work with ownership of the design system. You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping up on the latest design system while contributing to the discovery and design of our digital product suite. Walsworth products include a wide range of highly interactive web applications and software, delivered on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.Modern yearbook production demands powerful, easy-to-use, cloud-based software for student-driven design, journalism, and sales. The schedule is 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:Own and maintain the UX team's design system, ensuring consistency across productsCreate, document, and update reusable UI components, patterns, and design guidelines for the design systemEducate designers and cross-functional teams on design system usage, implementation and best practicesDesign user-centered experiences from concept through implementationTranslate business goals and user needs into clear, usable interface designsPresent design work to cross-functional teams and respond constructively to feedbackAssist with the execution of design research and usability testingWork with the Technology team through planning, definition, design, development, and testing phases to deliver intuitive, feature-rich software solutions.REQUIREMENTS:Must include a link to a work portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and shipped digital products2-5 years of experience in a related roleExperience working with or contributing to a design systemProficiency with FigmaExperience creating wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designsUnderstanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standardsKnowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG)Experience working in Agile product development environmentsMust be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen as part of our standard processU.S. work authorization is required.
