Job summary

Walsworth is seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer to own and evolve our scalable design system while delivering user-centered experiences across desktop, mobile, and tablet interfaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into intuitive interfaces and maintain consistency in reusable components.

The role blends hands-on product design with system governance in a hybrid office setting at Overland Park, Kansas.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and shipped digital products.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related UX design role.
• Experience contributing to a design system.
• Proficiency with Figma.
• Experience creating wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the UX team's design system, ensuring consistency across products.
• Create, document, and update reusable UI components, patterns, and design guidelines for the design system.
• Educate designers and cross-functional teams on design system usage, implementation and best practices.
• Design user-centered experiences from concept through implementation.
• Translate business goals and user needs into clear, usable interface designs.
• Present design work to cross-functional teams and respond constructively to feedback.
• Assist with design research and usability testing.
• Work with the Technology team through planning, definition, design, development, and testing phases to deliver intuitive, feature-rich software solutions.

Walsworth is seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive user experiences and maintaining a scalable design system. The designer will engage in a multi-step process, including wireframes, user flows, final designs, prototypes, and specification documents. This role combines hands-on product design work with ownership of the design system. You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping up on the latest design system while contributing to the discovery and design of our digital product suite. Walsworth products include a wide range of highly interactive web applications and software, delivered on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.Modern yearbook production demands powerful, easy-to-use, cloud-based software for student-driven design, journalism, and sales. Join our nimble, empowered team driving the experience at Walsworth, one of the nation's largest and most-storied yearbook publishers.This is a hybrid, salaried, exempt position based out of our Walsworth - Overland Park, Kansas, office.
