Job summary

Hudson Ford is seeking an experienced Recon Technician to join our high-volume service department. This full-time role inspects, diagnoses, and reconditions used vehicle inventory to ensure retail readiness.

You’ll work on domestic and import vehicles with limited customer interaction, and benefit from a supportive team, modern facilities, and opportunities for growth into lead or Ford-certified roles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience working with domestic and import vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and repair abilities.
• Ford experience or certifications preferred but not required.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory
• Complete maintenance and repair work to prepare vehicles for retail sale
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC concerns
• Identify and document required repairs according to dealership standards
• Ensure vehicles meet safety, operational, and appearance standards
• Utilize diagnostic tools and service information systems to efficiently diagnose concerns
• Collaborate with the service, parts, and used vehicle departments to meet production goals
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation
• Support vehicle turnaround timelines and inventory readiness
