Jay Hatfield Chevrolet in Ponca City, OK is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our growing team. You will perform work on repair orders, diagnose needed repairs, and test-drive vehicles to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Automotive technician with a strong service background.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a range of vehicle systems.
• Willing to pursue additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues and verify repairs.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare to obtain additional certifications as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and present a professional appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare to get additional certification as needed.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance

Qualifications:

• Specific Automotive Certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong work history
• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions
• Must have valid driver's license
• Willing to submit to a drug screen (THC is not tested for pre-employment)
