Job summary

Asbury in Tucson, AZ seeks an Automotive Used Car Sales Manager to lead the used car department, develop sales consultants, and drive performance through relationships with customers and third-party vendors. You will guide daily operations, set quotas, and ensure a high standard of customer service.

You will oversee inventory, implement training, and optimize processes to maximize turnover while maintaining integrity and teamwork across the sales floor and service interactions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of automotive experience required.
• Prior sales consultant and F&I manager experience required.
• Prior new car sales manager experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with employees and customers to bridge gaps in the sales process.
• Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals.
• Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales.
• Help manage all aspects of the sales department and inventory lot.
• Purchase vehicles for the inventory from auction and off-lease returns.
• Ensure vehicles are properly tagged and positioned on the lot.
• Conduct trade appraisals and input data into the vehicle management system.
• Desk deals, track revenue logs, and manage retail delivery reports.
• Maintain inventory turnover within 45-60 days.
• Partner with wholesale vendors for wholesaling vehicles when appropriate.
• Coordinate with service and parts to pre-deliver vehicles for entry into inventory.
• Prepare and administer annual forecasts and budgets for the department.
• Administer factory sponsored programs and incentives.
• Assist the New Car Sales Manager when needed.
