Job summary

The Russ Darrow Group is seeking a Used Car Recon Technician to diagnose, repair, and prep vehicles for sale. You will perform safety inspections and address mechanical and electrical issues with modern tools, while adhering to dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Own tools required; must be in good working condition.
• Strong teamwork skills and a passion for learning.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous automotive repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks as outlined in work orders with efficiency, ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems, to meet specifications.
• Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to evaluate vehicle components and systems.
• Perform safety inspections on used cars that were bought by the store, being as thorough as possible.
• Clearly communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers in an easy-to-understand, non-technical manner.
