Job summary

The Russ Darrow Group is seeking a Used Car Recon Technician in West Bend, WI to diagnose, repair, and prepare used vehicles for sale. You will work with advanced tools, perform safety inspections, and address mechanical/electrical issues per dealer standards.

Prior automotive repair experience is preferred, but training is provided. The role emphasizes continuous training, growth opportunities, and a team-focused culture within a family-valued dealership.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Own tools required; must be in good working condition
• Strong teamwork skills and a passion for learning
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous automotive repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks as outlined in work orders with efficiency, ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems, to meet specifications.
• Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to evaluate vehicle components and systems.
• Perform safety inspections on used cars that were bought by the store, being as thorough as possible.
• Clearly communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers in an easy-to-understand, non-technical manner.
