Job Description

The Used Car Buyer is responsible for prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to vehicle owners to purchase their cars from multiple sources for resale.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Interface with vehicle owners to purchase their vehicles.
• Appraise used vehicles and understand market trends.
• Utilize Sonic Automotive's inventory management system.
• Support dealership sales staff in purchasing used vehicles.
• Attend trade walks and maintain a prospect development system.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow legal and safety guidelines and attend training as required.
• Achieve personal income goals and participate in sales meetings.
• Maintain follow-up systems for customer retention and referrals.
• Keep abreast of product features, depreciation, and market changes.
• Perform duties in a safe manner and adhere to work rules.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and customer service skills, computer proficiency, and legal authorization to work in the USA. College degree is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position in the Purchasing and Supply Chain function.
