Job Description

The Used Car Buyer will be responsible for prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to vehicle owners to purchase their vehicles for resale from multiple sources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Call, follow up, and schedule appointments with customers for vehicle appraisals and purchases.
• Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
• Engage with vehicle owners during appointments and at the dealership's service drive to purchase their vehicles.
• Greet and approach dealership customers to appraise and purchase their vehicles.
• Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, photographing, and entering data into Sonic's inventory system.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers to build and propose purchase offers.
• Introduce customers to the sales department for vehicle purchases and new vehicle sales.
• Review monthly purchase goals with management to optimize efforts.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• 2-3 years of experience as a Used Car Buyer or in vehicle procurement within automotive rental or dealership settings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Professional appearance.
• Ability to meet production and quality standards.
• Strong computer skills.

Required:

• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Note: The position offers a pay scale with base hourly wages, potential commissions based on sales, and performance bonuses with no fixed upper limit.
