Job summary

Marvin K. Brown Auto Center is seeking a motivated Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to grow our used-vehicle inventory.

You will actively source vehicles, reach out to potential sellers, and assist with appraisals to ensure quality acquisitions at the right price. In this hands-on role, you’ll leverage dealership leads, online marketplaces, and independent prospecting to build relationships, negotiate purchases, and maintain accurate CRM records.

Qualifications

• Automotive dealership experience preferred.
• Experience in vehicle acquisition or automotive purchasing a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Comfortable outbound calls, texts, emails, and video outreach.
• Ability to research vehicle values and assess purchase opportunities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Organized with multiple leads and follow-ups.
• Willing to assist with appraisals on weekends.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Sourcing: Actively search for vehicles to purchase from leads, online marketplaces, private sellers, and referrals.
• Customer Outreach: Make outbound calls, texts, emails, and record personalized walk-around videos.
• Vehicle Appraisals: Assist with appraising trade-ins and purchasing opportunities.
• Inventory Walks: Regularly inspect the used-car lot to identify acquisition opportunities.
• Negotiation and Purchasing: Evaluate condition, research values, negotiate competitive prices.
• Lead Follow-Up: Follow up with existing leads to create additional opportunities.
• Independent Prospecting: Find vehicles beyond provided leads.
• CRM Management: Maintain records and track follow-up activity.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Used Car Manager and sales team to meet goals.
• Customer Experience: Represent the dealership professionally and facilitate a smooth process.
