Job summary

The City of Chicago is seeking a part-time Tactical Review Analyst for the Chicago Police Department's Office of Constitution Policing and Reform. You will review use-of-force incidents, analyze tactics and policies, and draft recommendations for enhancements.

A Bachelor’s degree plus five years in law enforcement is required; transcripts may be requested. Part-time schedule, weekday hours, with evaluation for full-time potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of work experience in law enforcement.
• Transcript, diploma, or professional licenses may be required at processing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews use of force incidents to assess conformity with department protocols.
• Analyzes tactics, training, and policies against established standards.
• Uses department software to view, flag, and retain video/audio evidence.
• Accesses CLEARNET to obtain officer information and reports.
• Identifies patterns or concerns relating to use of force incidents.
• Drafts advisements to enhance trainings or modify policies and submits for review.
• Attends annual in-service training.
