Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site logistics, materials, and technology for all assigned sessions.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for school staff, instructors, students, and families.
  • Monitor instruction to ensure alignment with program standards and support instructors as needed.
  • Collect and maintain required program data, including attendance, assessments, and progress tracking.
  • Support distribution and collection of instructional materials, supplies, and incentives.
  • Communicate site updates, challenges, and successes to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating additional site events such as parent workshops, guest speakers, or make-up sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures while representing CAMP professionally.

Job Title: Lead Tutor (Birmingham)

Reports To: Program Manager and Senior Director CAMP 2.0
Classification / Status: Part-time, 1099 Contractor
Location: Varies by assignment

Position Summary

The Lead Tutor supports the planning, delivery, and on-site execution of academic programming—including ACT prep sessions, tutoring, workshops, and other student-focused services for middle and high school students. This role works closely with Program Managers, school staff, and instructional teams to ensure smooth operations, consistent communication, accurate data collection, and positive student engagement. The Lead tutor ensures that each session runs according to program expectations, that required materials are available, and that student participation is documented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate site logistics, materials, and technology for all assigned sessions.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for school staff, instructors, students, and families.
