Job summary

GE HealthCare's MIM Software business seeks an Usability/Human Factors Engineer to optimize user interfaces and drive design improvements. You will work with UX designers, researchers, engineers, clinical teams and product management to translate user needs into usable product features.

The role requires a STEM degree, 2+ years experience, familiarity with ISO/FDA standards, and the ability to conduct formative and summative studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years professional experience
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Experience working with multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated program/project management skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with ISO, FDA and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

• Capture and analyze user workflow and translate into interaction design
• Lead usability design with product development core teams
• Conduct formative and summative usability studies
• Provide domain expertise in technical design reviews
• Ensure medical regulatory requirements are integrated
• Act as a local thought leader for user experience
• Utilize user-centered design methodologies
• Support user-centered design process across the company and contribute to planning
