Job summary

GE HealthCare’s MIM Software team seeks a Usability/Human Factors Engineer to optimize user interfaces and drive human factors research and testing. You will collaborate with UX designers, researchers, engineers, clinicians, and product managers to ensure patient-centered design and regulatory alignment.

The role emphasizes applying user-centered design principles, conducting formative and summative studies, and contributing to product development across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or related field; Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years professional experience in usability/HFE or related area.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory considerations (ISO, FDA).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and product teams to optimize user workflows and interaction.
• Lead usability studies, develop study plans, scripts, and analyze results.
• Provide domain expertise in design reviews and risk assessments with a user-centered focus.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are integrated within product development processes.
• Act as a local thought leader for user experience issues across teams.
