Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Position Summary

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on transport refrigeration units (TRU) according to OEM procedures; maintain and repair refrigeration trailer interior walls, floors, doors, and accessories; operate TRU in various modes; diagnose and repair electrical systems, refrigeration systems, and tractor climate control systems using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.

Maintain and repair trailers including electrical wiring, lighting, doors, and flooring. Perform preventative maintenance on braking systems and install or repair tires using appropriate tools. Conduct fuel sampling and handle warranty repairs and claims.

Assess maintenance needs, identify parts and solutions, and execute repairs on all Walmart equipment in compliance with company and DOT guidelines. Complete work orders and documentation accurately.

Adhere to company policies, collaborate with team members, and prioritize tasks effectively. Follow safety and ethical standards, and ensure quality in all work performed.

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.45-$38.95, with potential additional premiums based on specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Brake and vehicle inspection qualifications as per FMCSA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Class A CDL and DOT certification
• Experience maintaining tractors and trailers
• Thermo King Master Tech or Carrier Master Tech certification
• Proficiency in computer applications
