Job description

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.

What you'll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively to provide safe and efficient customer service.
  • Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery industry standards, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Use Point of Sale systems and selling techniques effectively.
  • Be a Techie: Utilize digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve service, and engage with associates. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, and training.
  • Be an Owner: Manage equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory. Operate cash registers, process transactions, and ensure merchandise is stored correctly. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by providing high-quality service, developing others, and fostering a respectful, supportive team environment. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and assist in training team members.
  • Follow Company Policies: Adhere to policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Complete work assignments efficiently, communicate progress, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Respect the Individual: Embrace diversity, create an inclusive workplace, and build trusting relationships. Motivate and influence others positively. Mentor and recognize contributions.
