Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.

What you'll do

1. Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively to provide safe and efficient customer service.
2. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery industry standards, service procedures, equipment operation, TPMS, product specs, seasonality, POS systems, and selling techniques.
3. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan sales, improve service, and enhance engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions regarding services, safety, and training.
4. Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, operate cash registers, and maintain inventory accuracy. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring others. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and assist in training team members.
6. Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart’s culture, and be accountable. Act humbly, honestly, and transparently.
7. Serve our Customers and Members: Prioritize customer needs, make informed decisions, and consider long-term impacts.
