Job description

Position Summary...

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will help deliver more of what our members love, for less, by working collaboratively with other associates to meet the club's and members' expectations.

What you'll do...
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests; educate others on tools, tasks, and resources; mentor new technicians; and develop interpersonal skills for excellent customer service.
  • Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery industry standards, service procedures, equipment operation, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonal considerations. Also, be familiar with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person sales techniques.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan sales, enhance the service experience, and increase engagement. Utilize handheld technology and systems for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, new products, and training. Adapt to new tools and encourage their use among team members.
  • Be an Owner: Communicate equipment, tool, and supply needs; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; maintain inventory and safety standards; report issues; complete documentation; package and label merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; and resolve concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring team members. Support a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in daily business practices.
  • Complete assignments by collaborating with managers and colleagues, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, location, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications...
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Successful completion of required trainings and assessments
  • Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications...
  • Experience in auto service industry or retail
